The All Progressives Congress (APC) party chairman for Ibadan Southwest local government in Oyo State Architect Joseph Olugbenga Omoniyi under the leadership of the state's chaiman Honourable Issac Omodewu has said that the allegation against the party in the state by one Mr Sunday Babalola is nothing but false. Southwest-frontier.com reports.

The recognized party chairman Architect Omoniyi who made a disclosure to SOUTHWEST-FRONTIER NEWS in a telephone conversation said, “We are here to right the wrongs and heal the wounds. We can always iron things out as a family. When there is unity, we can achieve great things as a family. You don’t throw away your family because you are upset. You don’t fabricate lies against your family because things do not go your way. We should not allow the people we took power from us get back into power in 2023. We can only win the war with unity.

PHOTO: Mr Sunday Babalola (During the illegal sworn-in of the ward Chairmen)

Arch Omoniyi added that, Mr Sunday Babalola is the factional Chairman of Abu Gbadamosi that were not recognized by the national leadership of the party. But Babalola out of his despiration for power went ahead to sworn in ward Chairmen from ward 1 to 12 of Ibadan Southwest local government. He did not only do that alone which is illegal, He also Forged the party certificate and presented it to them all. This was the highest disregard to the constitution and authority of the party and aberation in all standard.

As a result of this. The recognized local government Chairman of the party Arc Joseoh Olugbenga Omoniyi, after the due consultation with the State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) wrote a petition of impersonation and forgery of certificates against Mr Sunday Babalola to the Oyo state Commissioner of police.
