A leading aspirants under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency Hon (Dr) Adejoke Adekanmbi-Akinseye has congratulated Muslims on this year’s Ramadan.
According to Hon Adekanmbi-Akinseye in a statement made available to Southwest-frontier.com, she urge Muslims to use this holy month of Ramadan to imbibe the spirit of love, Compassion, Charity, empathy and self-reflection.
She added that everyone irrespective of religion should pray, love and give to the needy, show empathy, this she said will ensure we live in Peace and Unity.
I come with great tidings and beautiful wishes to all our Muslim families in Ibadan South East/North East Federal constituency as we are in the holy month of Ramadan.
This holy month of Ramadan is a very important one for all of us as it is reminding and giving the Muslims the privileges of fasting, self-reflection and prayer.
This time is of immense value to us as it teaches us about the great significance of self-discipline, love, compassion, charity and empathy for others. The beauty and strength which this time carries can not be over-emphasized especially the bond of family and the mindset of community through Suhur and Iftar.
I want to also appreciate and thank us all for our steadfastness, love and act of almsgiving which is one of the key expectations of the moment. It is a great thing that you all are doing most especially helping the needy to have a meal and helping to make ends meet for the less privileges.
The kindness of these acts is indescribable and can only be admired, emulated and encouraged.
As we continue to strengthen our spirituality and faith as this month of Ramadan continues, may the special message and the celebration of these holy days uplift each of you and add to the vitality of our community.
