The Secretary of the former and serving national ex-officio members of the People's Democratic Party(PDP), Hon(Dr) Hellen Taiwo-Adebakin has congratulated the executive chairman of Oyo State Housing Corporation and former Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Bayo Lawal on his nomination as running mate to governor Seyi Makinde in the 2023 Governorship election .
The PDP woman said Lawal's choice is ,no doubt , a well thought out decision which would add great value to electioneering and eventual re-election of the governor come 2023.
According to Adebakin,the new Deputy Governorship candidate is a successful lawyer ,public administrator and politician who had impacted on many lives within and outside the state .
She noted that the commendation and wide acceptability which greeted the choice of the former Commissioner for Justice was an indication that the governor had made the right choice.
Adebakin said " I am using this medium to congratulate our father,leader and astute polician,Barrister Bayo Lawal o your nomination as the new running mate to our amiable governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde. Your nomination did not come to me as a surprise going by your track records of honesty, commitment and loyalty to the party.
On behalf of members of Oyo State Women of Substance, I congratulate and wishing success ahead of the 2i023 election. "
Dr Adebakin also saluted the courage and wisdom of governor Makinde in making the bold decision stressing that Lawal's inclusion had made the quest of retaining Oyo State for the PDP less tasking .
