2023: Abeeb Balogun heading to court to challenge Ajimobi son's emergence as IBSW Constituency II APC candidate


The aspirant in the primaries of the All Progressive Congress primary for the seat of Ibadan southwest constituency II in Oyo state house of Assembly, Hon (Dr) Abeeb Idowu Balogun, popularly knows as (AIB), have said He would challenge the emergence of Idris Ajimobi, son of the late former Governor of Oyo state, Governor Abiola Ajimobi in the court of law.

Dr Abeeb Idowu Balogun in a statement made available to southwest-frontier , said on Sunday that the unlawful selection process was concocted before the democratic primary election slated for 26th June, 2022 is undemocratic and not the wish of the majority.

Abeeb Balogun further described the selection of Idris Ajimobi as undemocratic process; He said, I am not aware of that development and even the INEC officials were not informed whilst the decision was made.

"It will be a disaster for the APC to approach this election in this disgraceful manner.” they didn't inform me as the leading aspirant in the race, I just heard in the news that the candidate that emerged was Idris Ajimobi. That's totally unacceptable and my legal team will get in touch to all the concerns very soon, while I appeal to all my supporters and followers to stay calm and be rest assured that we remain ommitted and loyal to the All Progressive Congress (APC), as a core party man we will use all legal means to reclaim our mandate. Abeeb Balogun concluded.
