Oyo State governor Engineer Seyi Makinde has been admonished to fulfil his promise in ensuring that three slots are given to women in the House of Representatives and State Assembly in the 2023 General Elections
The secretary of ,former and serving National ex-officio members of the People's Democratic Party(PDP) Hon Hellen Taiwo Adebakin who gave this admonition said report reaching her has indicated that certain forces are plotting to go against the governor's directive on the matter.

Specifically ,Adebakin expressed concern that some PDP leaders in the Local Governments are not willling to comply with the directive.
She explained that governor Makinde had promised to champion a novel policy where atleast one female lawmaker would emerge from each Senatorial district in Oyo State.
The PDP stalwart charged the governor to convey a meeting of female aspirants and encourage them .She said that this effort would serve as a moral booster for them.
Stressing that the meeting would give women as well as female aspirants sense of belonging in the party, Adebakin argued that Makinde would write his name in gold if the promises were fulfilled.
According to Adebakin the governor can use his discretion to put forward popular and credible female aspirants for the slots .
The PDP chieftain also used the occasion to commend the developmental projects embark upon by the governor across the three Senatorial Districts.
