Tinubu’ll put judges, lawyers in calabash, you can’t win – Primate Ayodele to Atiku, Peter Obi

The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, on Saturday, cautioned the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, and Peter Obi of the Labour Party, LP, ahead of the outcome of their cases against President Bola Tinubu at the tribunal.

Primate Ayodele said Tinubu would put all the lawyers and judges in a calabash and throw it away.

Speaking in Lagos, the clergyman described Tinubu’s victory as spiritual.

According to Ayodele, Tinubu’s mantra of Emi Lokan carry’s spiritual and positive energy.

He stressed that Atiku and Obi are just wasting their time trying to unseat Tinubu.

Ayodele said: “Tinubu’s victory is more spiritual than physical, when he said ’emi lokan’, people didn’t understand. That ’emi lokan’ mantra has a lot of spiritual and positive energy.

“Atiku and Obi are not ready, they think Tinubu will just sit down and fold his hands? He (Tinubu) will put all the lawyers and judges in one calabash and throw them inside water.

“Tinubu is spiritually desperate and only God can take him out of the way. Atiku and Obi are just wasting their time, they are not ready to take the number one position.

“They are just noise makers who go on internet to rant, will the internet give them victory? Tinubu’s victory is totally spiritual.”

He also maintained that the senate under the leadership of Godswill Akpabio would be a rubber stamp.

“The Senate under Akpabio will be a rubber stamp, I don’t see anybody being serious; even the opposition will soon join the ruling party because the radical ones will be silenced,” he added.

Eid-el-Kabir: Chaos averted in Osogbo over alleged assassination attempt on Adeleke

Chaos was averted during the traditional Eid prayers at the Osogbo Eid praying ground on Wednesday.

According to information made available to DAILY POST, the stage was set for the prayers which was a traditional part which marks the beginning of the festival.

It was gathered that the Chief Imam leading the prayers would stay in the front, while other dignitaries would occupy the second row.

The second row is always reserved for the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun, the governor and other leading politicians and notable sons of Osogbo.

However, trouble started when Governor Ademola Adeleke arrived at the venue.

A media aide to the Governor, Sarafa Ibrahim alleged that thugs hired by former Senator Ajibola Basiru attacked Governor Adeleke at the Osogbo Eid prayer ground.

According to him, “They came with machetes and all sorts of weapons at the Eid prayer ground. The governor was not even in Osun as he was in Lagos to have a meeting with the United States Consular General.

“He came straight to the Osogbo Eid prayer ground and upon sighting him, they just mobilised. They even attacked the House of Representatives member for Osogbo/Olorunda/Irepodun/Orolu Federal Constituency, Maruti Adewale Adebayo.

“It was obvious that they already planned the attacks. SRJ is playing with fire. What they just did is treasonous. For them to attempt to kill the leader of a state.

“Some of his boys were identified among the thugs. They came with weapons purposely to stop the governor from accessing the prayer ground.

“The governor was whisked away by his security aides and he left Immediately.”

However, an eyewitness to the incident, who craved anonymity debunked the attempted assassination, stating that it was just a disagreement between Governor Adeleke and Senator Basiru with regards to the sitting arrangements.

According to him, “The front row after the Imam at the Eid prayer ground in Osogbo is usually reserved for the dignitaries and they include, Senator Basiru, Ataoja of Osogbo land, Khamis Olatunde Badmus and the governor whenever he is around.

“It was gathered that when Governor Adeleke arrived, he directed that Senator Basiru should vacate his reserved position for him.

“SRJ insisted that he will not vacate his reserved position because they are at the Eid prayer ground which made the governor angrily storm out of the venue of the prayers.”

The eyewitness also revealed that security personnel were directed to arrest SRJ upon which the access gate to the Eid ground was shut.

“The Osogbo Indigenes at the Eid prayer ground rose up in protest that nobody would be arrested but the matter has been resolved.

“There was no attempted assassination on the life of Governor Ademola Adeleke,” he said.

Attempts to get the reaction of Senator Ajibola Basiru proved futile as phone calls to him went unanswered and messages sent to him were not responded to.

You can trust Tinubu with your votes, Buhari tells Nigerians

President Muhammadu Buhari has called on Nigerians to trust the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu with their votes in the February election.

The president said the former governor of Lagos State is passionate about the country and can be trusted to lead it to the promised land.

Buhari spoke during the APC’s presidential rally on Saturday in Lafia.

He said he has been an ally of Tinubu for over 20 years, and together they have weathered the country’s political storm, adding that the APC’s presidential candidate is committed to the progress and development of the country.

He said, “God willing, Tinubu would be the next president of the country while calling on Nigerians to vote for all the APC candidates during the general elections.

He said, “I congratulate you and thank you all for defying the weather and standing for more than three hours for this rally. I assure you that God’s willing we are going to win through and through.

“I know Ahmed Bola Tinubu as he said in his speech more than 20 years ago and there is no local government area that I didn’t visit from 2003-2011 and I visited all the states in 2019 when I was asking for this second term and the final term.

” I will continue to campaign for Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He is a committed Nigerian and I believe he will give all he has to this country and you Nigerians.”

Also speaking during the rally, APC’s presidential candidate eulogised the qualities of President Buhari, who he described as a “forthright and compassionate” leader.

He said some disgruntled politicians are bent on pinching Buhari against him in a move to undermine APC and his presidential aspiration.

“But let me tell them that they are wasting their time because the relationship between me and Mr President has been cordial for over 20 years

“Those who think there are cracks in our friendship and relationship will continue to be disappointed and have their short time joy limited.

“Ours is not about the individual, it is about nation building, honesty, integrity and character,” he noted.

He said President Buhari has proved sceptics who think a military General of his ilk cannot lead a democratic process, wrong, adding that the president has demonstrated that he is a true democrat of Abraham Lincoln’s standing.

He said only a committed and steadfast leader like Buhari could courageously navigate through the many challenges he brooked.

He noted that despite dwindling oil revenue, rising insecurity and disturbing activities of those who are bent on derailing the country, Buhari could still soldier on.

He promised the president that he would not disappoint him and Nigerians if he is given the opportunity of leading the country.

Makinde's Aide, Lolade Ajibola hoarding Nomination Form fee contrary to Governor's instruction - Aspirant alleged

Lagelu People's Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Olayinka Segelu has alleged Lolade Ajibola the Special Assistant on Special Duties to the Oyo State Governor His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde of hoarding his N2.5 Million nomination form fee.

Olayinka Segelu raised the allegation on the person of  Lolade Ajibola for hoarding his N2.5 million nomination form fee contrary to the Governor's instruction to refund the party nomination form fee to all aspirants that purchased the forms in Oyo State.

Olayinka Segelu who aspired to represent Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency in 2015 under the same Party also contested the ticket for 2023 but lost at the primaries. He is one of the PDP House of Representatives aspirants for the Akinyele/Lagelu Federal constituency who made this disclosure during a telephone interview with journalists today, January 3, 2023.
Recalled that the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, approved and instructed the disbursement of the refund of nomination and expression of interest forms fee to all aspirants who lost out at the held PDP primary elections in the state last year. But he explained that his refund has been cornered by Lolade Ajibola, SA to the governor.
According to Hon Olayinka Segelu, he said; " at the time the governor gave the instruction, I was not in Nigeria so I had to contact the State's party women leader, Alhaja Wulemot Ibitoye, and the Lagelu LGA Chairman Hon. Kazeem Gbadamosi to receive the refund on my behalf, but I was told that Governor Seyi Makinde gave a clear instruction not to release the refund to anyone aside from the aspirant
When I made further inquiries about how my refund will be released to me if I come back to Nigeria, I was told by the state party secretary, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke that, the party only prepared clearance for the governor, that I will need to see Lolade Ajibola, an SA to the governor on Special Duties.

I booked a flight down to Nigeria in December 2022 to access the refund myself, but all efforts to reach Lolade who is said to be in charge of the disbursement proved abortive.

" Throughout I stayed in Nigeria till I returned to Germany on January 1st, 2023 to celebrate with my family, all the efforts I put in place to see Lolade Ajibola were not successful, I called her line severally she didn't pick up my calls nor respond to all the messages I sent to her.

“I am requesting the party and Lolade Ajibola to release the sum of N2.5 million for the expression of interest and nomination forms I bought as directed by Governor Seyi Makinde. Our leader.

I am a bonafide and resourceful party man, even though, the party has not been fair to me since I have been giving support and resources to the party. I was denied a House of Representatives ticket in 2015, I was the accepted candidate but someone from nowhere came and was given the ticket without allowing us to go to the primary election.

In 2019, as someone who respects the party constitution, I agreed with the party leaders and stakeholders that it was the Akinyele local government's turn to produce a candidate for the House of Representatives seat, with that, I still supported the party and all the candidates, the leaders can testy to my claim.

" It is 2023 again am not able to get the ticket,
but I have promised not to give up on the party, I am giving out everything to support the reelection of our dear Governor Makinde. Just before I left Nigeria on the 1st of January 2023, I handed the vehicles I branded for governor Makinde's re-election to my team, so even if am not around my people will be out there campaigning for the people's governor.

" Irrespective of anything, PDP is a party my late father labored to build, I believe in the party and I will always support and push for the victory party. Olayinka Segelu stated.
